Do you know how to properly display your U.S. flag?

Friday, May 27th, 2011

I thought I’d bring this up since it’s Veteran’s day weekend, but every day, the flag should be displayed properly! I often see U.S flags displayed improperly or tattered ones that have seen better days. Your local VFW, American Legion, or Boy Scouts can help you dispose of your flag properly if you need assistance.

To my brothers and sisters in arms, you are in my thoughts and prayers everyday!
I understand where you are coming from Gent, I feel that a new administration will greatly enhance the image of the U.S., but still, Old Glory needs to be out there for all to see!

Do you display an American flag outside your home?

Wednesday, April 20th, 2011

When my Mom was alive we used to always have our American flag up in its holder on the wall blowing in the breeze. We have since taken it down. But I miss having it up.
Maybe I will put one up again after the winter and see old Glory blowing in the wind. Now that I am going to be a Grandma I should. :D

Just wondered if there were any other Amercians who like to show their Patriotic side.
Jay- what is the country you like instead? Any favorites?

I fly the US Flag from a wall mounted pole. How do I keep it from twisting around?

Thursday, December 2nd, 2010

The mounting hardware does not allow it to spin around the pole and fly freely. Sometimes Old Glory gets tangled in itself and wraps around the flagpole. Do you know of special mounting hardware that would allow The Flag to twist with the wind around the flagpole as opposed to wrapping around it?
While you answer, I will research too.
